How to clear auto completed addresses in Outlook?

If you have ever been puzzled with auto complete feature of Microsoft Outlook, how it works, where it stores addresses, search no more. I've needed to remove all auto complete addresses from user's profiles (they had large amount of wrong addresses), so I started digging in attic AKA Google for solution.

After a while I found that all "memorized" addresses are stored in file "Outlook.nk2". In order to remove all of them you simply need to remove that file. File is located in "%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.NK2". So simply delete it or if you have AD attach a GPO with simple script to group of users or specific OU.

Example for GPO script:

del "%APPDATA%\Microsoft\outlook\*.NK2"

And don't worry about the deleted file. As soon as you open Outlook, send first email to someone and close Outlook file will be created.

Have fun, as my users had :)

Proofing Tools for Office 2007

If you're a fan of Language Packs, MUIs and Proofing Tools for Office XP, 2003 and 2007, than you must be eager to try them for Office 2007. For a current list of available Language packs and their prices visit http://buy7.trymicrosoftoffice.com/buyus/product.aspx?family=langpack&culture=en-US.

But if your language is not listed, don't despair. If you want, you can still utilize old version of Language packs Proofing Tools with Office 2007. How?

You probably have previous version of Office 2003. Start the installation and choose Customized Installation. Uncheck everything except Proofing Tools (English) and finish installation. After that you can apply your language MUI, which will later become available within Office 2007. Of course you can only use Proofing tools, and not localize menus and help.
